FIELD: mechanical engineering; water pumps of internal combustion engines. SUBSTANCE: proposed water pump has sectional housing with split connection aligned by shell projection and holes providing delivery of liquid to internal combustion engine, and impeller with blades installed on hub of shaft. Shaft is provided with drive flange. Graphite ring is installed between hub end face and housing. Graphite ring is axially fixed by compression spring closed in flexible bushing. These parts form bearing sealing unit including holder and bearings. Outer support plane of drive flange is installed relative to housing split surface at a distance of 84,4 ± 0,3 mm.. Blades are made on idle side of impeller. Bearing holder is fixed by caulking of threaded member. Surface of inner hole of impeller is mated with hub along contact zone of ,longitudinal curvilinear notches. Inner surface of impeller blades is thermostatted to create strengthened layer, thickness up to 0.2 mm. Diametrically opposite holes made in impeller are displaced relative to each other for misalignment in section plane. Holes diverge in direction of ejection of liquid flow to provide velocity flow of liquid in radial direction from top of blades to outlet hole. Surface of housing facing blade tops is made conical. Number of impeller blades is aliquant on front working and idle surfaces of impeller. EFFECT: increased capacity and improved reliability of pump. 3 dwg
