FIELD: telephone communication. SUBSTANCE: wireless telephone system has one or several telephone sets with preliminary payment of calls which are engaged to initiate telephone calls with preliminary payment. Switching center of mobile stations links telephone calls initiated from wireless telephone sets with preliminary payment to outside telephone systems, for example, to public service telephone system. Outside telephone system sends periodic pulses of records of payment to switching center of mobile stations. Each pulse corresponds to value of cash expenditures related to telephone call determined in advance. Frequency of transmission of periodic pulses to switching center of mobile stations depends on current tariff for drawing bill, in particular, on time of day. Instead of sending all pulses of payment record into wireless telephone set with preliminary payment which leads to engagement of part of width of band assigned for telephone calls realized with use of wireless telephone sets switching center of mobile stations determines tariff for drawing bill in steady-state condition proceeding from pulses of payment records and later sends tariff alone to draw bill in steady-state condition to telephone set with preliminary payment. EFFECT: improved method and device to record calls by telephone sets with preliminary payment in wireless telephone system. 4 cl, 6 dwg
