FIELD: metallurgy, namely manufacture of powder wire for treatment of melt steel and cast iron by means of chemically active components. SUBSTANCE: line includes apparatus for uncoiling belt in the form of rotary platform supporting two similar units. Shaping mill includes vertical and horizontal shaping stands with metering device for filling trough with powder, said trough is made of band material. Mill is provided with guide for band in the form of bracket with movable frame. Horizontal shaping stands are non-driven ones, that is why it is possible to reduce energy consumption and maintenance cost of line. In apparatus for closing lock in front of its inclination position there is roller grooved pass for reducing closed lock in vertical position. EFFECT: enhanced quality of powder wire due to improved reliability of lock joint. 6 dwg
