FIELD: hydrometallurgical treatment of metal of metal-containing ores and concentrates, more particularly extraction of metals from ores in the presence of halogen ions. SUBSTANCE: method comprises oxidizing ore or concentrate under pressure in the presence of oxygen and acid solution containing halogen ions and source of bisulfate and sulfate.
