FIELD: mechanical facilities; construction engineering; finishing and other operations. SUBSTANCE: device is used for leveling surfaces of walls and floors made of foam and aerated concrete, cutting (removing) drips of hardened mortar, concrete, and for removing old paint from walls and panels. Device has base that carries handle on one side and working elements on opposite side. Working elements are essentially serrate blades symmetrically mounted on base along short wall; working elements are installed in pairs at certain angle to axis of symmetry; each serrate blade is installed in dovetail-shaped slot and fixed in position by wedge; each wedge has slit on certain part of its length; supporting part of serrate blade is bent relative to vertical wall of slot; wedge is fastened to base through slit by means of split joint. In addition, working elements are installed at acute angle of at least 30 deg. to axis of symmetry; serrate blades of each pair face each other.
