LOCK SUPPORT OF SUCKER-ROD OIL-WELL PUMP (VERSIONS) Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: oil and gas producing industry; sucker-rod pumps for discharge of fluids containing abrasive admixtures. SUBSTANCE: proposed pump includes core mounted in connecting bush for axial up and down motion. Limiter is screwed in lower portion of core. Upper portion of support is made in form of core changing to cylinder terminating in flange. Core has through hole flow of fluid and for axial motion of pump rod. Located on outer wall of core is collar expandable bush manufactured from elastic material (oil-resistant rubber, polyurethane, etc. ). Lock support has mounting seat for passage of flange of connecting bush with collar bush. Well of high content of sand may be provided with sand anchor made in form of bushes on pump rod which are secured on head with outlet ports. High tightness of lock support is achieved due to elastic material of collar bush: in case of presence of abrasive particles (in lowering the pump, for example) between mounting seat of lock support and outer walls of collar bush, operation is not affected. In case of breaking of pump off support (in hoisting the pump, for example), escape of pump is effected smoothly, without excessive loads on sucker-rod string.
