FLANGED JOINT Russian patent published in 2000 - IPC

FIELD: oil and gas producing industry; submersible centrifugal pumps; assembly of flanged joints. SUBSTANCE: flanged joint has two identical parts of split bush, one solid limiting ring and three collar sealing rings made from elasto-flexible material. Upper part of split bush is provided with locking members which prevent limiting ring from up stroke. Lower part is provided with bead which prevents limiting ring from down stroke. Side surface of flanges being connected are made in form of cones directed towards each other. Laid between end faces of flanges is one gasket (ring) and two rings on outer side of flanges. Such construction excludes use of bolts and therefore no holes are made. EFFECT: simplified construction; low cost; enhanced reliability. 5 dwg
