FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: speed converter includes wave generator and transmitting unit which includes at least three members, each made in form of holder; holders are so located that each holder is engageable with two adjacent holders; at least two holders are engageable by their intersecting surfaces. Raceway of each member is continuously engageable with rolling elements. Raceway of at least one member is periodically bent over closed line. Holder connected with wave generator acts on rolling elements in direction selected from any direction in plane of axial section of converter. Closed regularly bent raceways of other holders have bent coinciding with direction of action of wave generator. EFFECT: extended kinematic and functional capabilities; reduced specific weight and overall dimensions; increased loading capacity. 18 cl, 23 dwg
