FIELD: mechanics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to planetary gearing mechanisms exploiting ball engagement and can be used in load-lifting machinery drives and those of steering mechanisms. Eccentric ball gearing comprises taper-raceway floating washer 4 fitted on eccentric 2 on input shaft 1 and acting on a chain of balls 12 arranged in holes 17 of central wheel 6 and coming into engagement with raceway 10 of central wheel 5. Aforesaid raceway 10 on central wheel 5 features bend direction along the surface the generating line of which lies in the range of angles from perpendicular to the washer taper surface 8 to parallel with the gearing axis. Under action of floating washer 4 and taper surface 9, balls 12 move in wave-like manner in direction perpendicular to the washer motion plane that allows increasing the gearing eccentricity without increased overall sizes. Lock rings 13, 14 rule out axial shift of washer 4 and wheel 5 relative to each other. In case the angle at the base of taper surface 9 is smaller than that between the ball and said surface, the gearing acquires a self-breaking property.
EFFECT: production of reliable miniature gearing.
