FIELD: inflectors for systems of axial injection for cyclotrons, class of inflectors in which the beam axial particle moves on the electric equipotential surface and may be used in cyclotron engineering. SUBSTANCE: the electrode surfaces have such a shape that the electric field set up between the electrodes makes the beam axial particle move a plane curve. The Lorentz force trying to twist the trajectory gets balanced by an opposite directed component of the electric force. The shape of the electrodes and electric potential in the inflector are described by simple precise analytical expressions. The shape of the axial trajectory - an arc of a circle lying in the vertical plane. EFFECT: simplified manufacture of the inflector construction. 3 dwg
