FIELD: mining industry. SUBSTANCE: system of exploitation of gently dipping seams includes mapping of excavation field of working, excavation of coal by breakage face, support of roof by installation of number of mechanized pillars and their subsequent movement. Coal is excavated between parallel workings by narrow strips which length is found by calculation prior to mapping and width of narrow strip is assumed to be equal to spacing of location of main roof. Breakage face is moved orthogonally with regard to row of mechanized pillars set over entire length of narrow strip. Length of each mechanized pillar and spacing of its movement is taken also equal to spacing of location of main roof. EFFECT: reduced extent of preparation workings in excavation field, diminished cost of mining of coal, enhanced safety of operation. 2 dwg
