FIELD: transport and power engineering. SUBSTANCE: proposed engine can be used as motor of electric car or as self-contained power source. Invention makes it possible to reduced mass and overall dimensions, both of mechanical engine and generator and provide generation of constant frequency current at differentials of speed of rotor driven by inertia forces of flywheel, improved reliability of spring engine and reduced labor input at its manufacture owing to use of spring engine whose shafts are connected by gear trains, and use of generator producing constant frequency current at differentials of speed of generator rotor. According to invention, drive roll spring is made of several thin roll springs put together, shafts of operating and idle drums are connected by gear mechanism and holder is mounted on idle shaft in which auxiliary roll spring is installed. Force of one shaft is transmitted to the other. Generator has synchronous shaft and movable variable-speed drive to change direction of current of electromagnet. Rise of generator rotor shaft speed and its drop to minimum value do not affect frequency of generated current. EFFECT: reduced mass and overall dimensions, improved reliability. 7 cl, 8 dwg
