FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices designed for damping vibrations of rotors and it can be used in designing of damping devices for supports of rotors of turbomachines. Proposed hydrodynamic damper has stator bushing with oil holes. Stator bushing has vibrator bushing fitted-in with damping clearance and rings sealing damping clearance. Stator bushing is thin-walled, with two cylindrical belts over outer diameter of height not less than size of damping clearance by which it is installed in support housing. EFFECT: improved efficiency of damper in service owing to provision of linearity of dynamic characteristics (rigidity and damping) over entire operating range of damper. 2 dwg
