FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: invention refers to devices securing action of electric discharge on flow of pumped air for its bactericidal and chemical cleaning in hospital wards and house rooms if there exists no exhaust ventilation or if its productivity is insufficient. Gear for electric discharge treatment of air in small-sized closed volumes has electric motor coupled to mobile electrode, high- voltage electrodes of needle type, grounded electrodes of knife type. High-voltage electrodes of needle type are connected to unipolar source of constant voltage. Working edges of grounded electrodes of knife type are located at minimal distance from dielectric barrier of mobile electrode. Dielectric barrier of mobile electrode has periodic radial grooves transforming to blades of centrifugal impeller towards periphery. In this case radial grooves of dielectric barrier are pitch-matched with blades of centrifugal impeller with tB = tp = 360°/z,=360/z, where tB- is angular pitch of protrusions; tp- is angular pitch of lattice of blades; z is number of blades of impeller. Angle of setting of blades of impeller is determined by formula βB×= arctg(CR/v-Cv)±i,, where CR, CV- are radial and circumferential components of absolute speed of flow swirled in advance; V is circumferential velocity of inlet edges of blades of impeller; i is angle of attack of blade. Besides that centers of radial protrusions of dielectric barrier of variable thickness are displaced with reference to inlet edges of blades of impeller through angle Φ = 0,5×tp, and angular width of radial grooves is 0,5×tp≅ ΔΦ < tp. EFFECT: development of compact model of electric discharge generator capable of air treatment in small- sized closed volumes without exceeding maximum permissible coefficient for ozone, enhanced operational reliability and improved aerodynamic characteristics of gear. 2 cl, 3 dwg
