FIELD: instrumentation engineering; in-service contactless measurement and monitoring of vibration amplitudes of turbine and compressor blades.
SUBSTANCE: two peripheral sensors are installed on turbomachine casing at reference distance with respect to blade edge moving path; moments when blade peripheral sections pass the sensors installed at reference distance in circumferential direction are recorded; time intervals of each i blade movement from first to second sensor (between sensors) are measured; mean linear velocities of peripheral section of each i blade moving within respective metered time intervals are measured; pitch difference of each blade is calculated by multiplying metered time intervals by mean linear velocities of peripheral section of each i blade and subtracting reference distance between sensors for each product obtained; statistical block of step difference of each i blade is accumulated and used to determine maximal absolute value of step difference for each i blade obtained for each i blade. Maximal absolute value of step difference obtained for each i blade is increased by given error in finding turbomachine blade vibration amplitude, and vibration amplitude of each i blade is judged from increase in maximal absolute value of step difference.
EFFECT: enhanced precision and reliability of determining vibration amplitudes of turbomachine blades.
