FIELD: power engineering. SUBSTANCE: there are three alternatives for connecting transformers at transformer substations incorporating transformers of different power capacity: (a) connecting low-capacity transformer only; (b) connecting high-capacity transformer only; (c) sharing load between two transformers. Desired alternative of connection is chosen depending on current power of load for minimizing power loss. EFFECT: reduced power loss at municipal transformer substations; enhanced service life of transformers. 3 dwg
