FIELD: reactive power correction at transformer substation input and its output voltage regulation. SUBSTANCE: device has booster transformer controlled by thyristortype voltage amplitude and phase inverter with intermediate dc current or voltage section. Thyristor inverter is connected on high-voltage side of substation and is supplied with power from load circuit. Discrete stage of reactive power correction has filter- correcting load circuits and bank of cosine capacitors connected to supply mains. In case of resistiveinductive load inverter functions as phase lead device and when load is resistive, it operates with phase lag. When amplitude-phase control of booster vector is leading, inverter resistors operate using man-effected switching.
