FIELD: concentration of ore-containing mass, dumps, concentrates at content of useful minerals insufficient for industrial use; separation of sands and other materials into fraction according to size of particles. SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes transportation of mixture of liquid with ore-containing mass over inclined pipe line; liquid is fed to upper portion of flow immediately at pipe line inlet above trap in thin layer and height not exceeding 0.3 height of liquid flow, discharge of particles settling from mixture by gravity by means of trap found in bottom of inclined pipe line and transportation of rock to dump. Proposed method is performed with the aid of plant which includes loading unit, pipe line inclined relative to level and connected with source of liquid and source of ore-containing mass, trap for entrapping useful minerals settling by gravity which is mounted in bottom of pipe line and is made from triangular plates secured to walls of pipe line at spaced relation to each other; clearance between plates decreases from inlet to outlet of trap.
