METHOD FOR CONCENTRATION OF FINE-FRACTION ORE MATERIAL Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

FIELD: processing of ground ore rocks and used-up fine fraction ore materials of process waste dumps, and concentration of finely divided ores and minerals not liable to concentration. SUBSTANCE: method includes screening of initial material, gravitational settling and withdrawal of concentrate. Gravitational settling is carried out, first, in gravitational settling unit, and then, in linear or in linear-circular pulp line. Concentrate is withdrawn through opening in bottom part of pulp line. Performed prior to screening is preliminary separation of ore-containing particles on grate by washing with water and separation of native particles, for which purpose, slurry is passed through catcher of native particles. Screening is carried out with use of centrifugal force on parabolic screen with tangential supply of pulp at velocity of 2-10 m/s. Concentrate produced in pulp line is diluted with water and passed through additional unit of gravitational settling and linear or linear-circular pulp line. EFFECT: efficient separation of native and ore-containing particles sizing up to 350-5 mcm in processing of finely ground ores and technogenic placers. 5 cl, 25 dwg
