FIELD: autoemission electron-beam devices such as probes, screens, raster microscopes, research and analyzing units. SUBSTANCE: device has autoemission cathode made of bundle of carbon fibers, modulator with bore, and contact leads, all placed in evacuated bulb. In order to ensure desired alignment or adjustment of autoemission-cathode fiber bundle relative to modulator mentioned fiber bundle is placed in insulating envelope primarily made of glass and fitted in holes of alignment disks aligned relative to modulator bore by means of fillets made of insulating material such as glass and fixed in slots of discs and modulator over their perimeters. Contacting surface may be enlarged by making autoemission cathode lead of conducting material such as aquadag deposited on naked end of fiber bundle and brought in contact with the latter through side surface of sheath fixed to contact lead. EFFECT: enhanced precision of focusing electron beam that improves performance characteristics of device. 1 dwg
