FIELD: processes and plants for electrochemical cleaning of drinking water in domestic condition, in water supply systems of restaurants, hospitals, children institutions, offices and so on. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of simultaneously treating water with use of set of mutually parallel soluble electrodes and electric flotation at filling reservoir with water; after filling deenergizing set of parallel soluble electrodes and treating water in non flow-through mode at electric flotation; after raising formed coagulant, interrupting electric flotation, draining coagulant and filtering treated water. Cleaning is realized in reactor having set of mutually parallel soluble electrodes placed directly over electric flotation electrodes in lower portion of reactor. Upper portion of reactor is in the form of truncated cone supporting reservoir of slime trap. In upper opening of reactor there is lid in the form of reverse cone mounted with possibility of vertical motion and being buoyant.
