FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrochemical water treatment and can be used in household conditions and for improving water supply for public catering enterprises, medical and children's institutions and offices. Initial water is fed under pressure into a electronic unit through a water pipe in the top cover of the housing into the bottom part of a removable cassette made from dielectric material with guide grooves for electrodes, from which the flow of water, while changing the direction of flow to the opposite direction, passes through spaces between soluble and insoluble electrodes, flows out through the top edge of the cassette into the housing and enters a storage container through the outlet water pipe in the top cover of the housing. The apparatus for electrotreatment of water has an electrode unit, made in a watertight dismountable housing, and inlet and outlet water pipes. The electrode system is made from two groups of electrodes - soluble and insoluble electrodes, placed in the removable cassette with guide grooves. The group of insoluble electrodes is in form of two flat-topped plane-parallel electrodes mounted on the top cover of the housing and connected to a power supply. The group of soluble electrodes is in form of rectangular plates.

EFFECT: low labour input in making and servicing the device, low material consumption of soluble electrodes, high reliability of the device.
