SUBSTANCE: the device has a radiator, coupler, two microcontrollers, digital indicator, reprogram able storage, pulse stretcher, control panel, pulse shaper, programmable attenuator, comparator, analog-to-digital converter, two photodetectors, optical connector. The optical input of the second photodetector is connected to the output of the optical fiber section under control via the optical connector, one of the inputs of the input port of the first microcontroller is coupled to the output of the first photodetector via a switch, programmable attenuator controlled from the second microcontroller, and the comparator, one of the input ports of the first microcontroller is connected to one of the output ports of the second microcontroller. One of the port outputs of the first microcontroller is connected to one of the inputs of the input of the radiation source via the pulse shaper, the analog input of the analog-to-digital converter is connected to the attenuator output via the pulse stretcher, the digital output of the analog-to-digital converter controlled from the second microcontroller is connected to the input port of the second microcontroller, the other ports of the input-output of the second microcontroller are connected to the digital indicator, control panel, reprogram able permanent storage. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy and inviolacy of measurements of distance to the location of in homogeneities, provided measurement of power reflected from local in homogeneities of fiber and loss for reflection of these in homogeneities. 6 dwg
