FIELD: information technology.
SUBSTANCE: digital data are converted to an analogue signal by converting them to optical radiation, transmitting the optical radiation over a fibre-optic channel and summation of optical components at the optical terminal of the receiving optoelectronic module. Increase in resolution and rate of conversion is achieved by applying fibre-optic delays which facilitate shift of digital data by discretisation intervals of the analogue synthesized signal. The invention can be used in radar engineering for transmitting high-frequency and microwave signals to phased-array antenna elements, as well as in measuring techniques for synthesis of test measurement signals.
EFFECT: high accuracy, faster operation and possibility of transmitting synthesised high-frequency analogue signals over considerable distances.
