FIELD: optics. SUBSTANCE: Brillouin optical reflectometer has semiconductor radiation source, directional coupler which output is coupled to device for radiation input to controlled section of optical fiber and which second output is connected to input of processing unit through device for selection and storage. Reflectometer also has narrow-band optical filter, master oscillator, generator of linearly changing current. Narrow-band filter is placed between output of directional coupler and optical input of photodetector, one output of master oscillator is connected to input of processing unit and its another output is coupled to input of semiconductor radiation source through generator of linearly changing current. EFFECT: simplified design, increased resolution and expanded measurement range. 3 dwg
