FIELD: logging machines for forestry and respective industry branches. SUBSTANCE: drive unit for rotating apparatus in lengthwise plane relative to manipulator and drive unit for rotating second strut relative to first one are in the form of two hydraulic cylinders. Housings of said hydraulic cylinders are jointly secured to manipulator; their rods are jointly secured by means of doubled lugs to second strut. Lengthwise axes of hydraulic cylinders are arranged at both sides relative to radial plane of manipulator. Hydraulic cylinders are radially controlled; articulation joint assemblies of housings and rods of hydraulic cylinders have two freedom degrees. EFFECT: simplified design, lowered mass of gripping and cutting off apparatus without reducing its using range. 3 cl, 4 dwg
