METHOD FOR STORING CORPSE AND APPARATUS FOR PERFORMING THE SAME Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: processes and equipment for treating, storing, transporting and burying corpses or their parts. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of treating and sanitating corpse; placing it to fluid- tight container; filling cavity of container with sterilizing and deodorizing gaseous component such as ozone containing gas mixture at treating corpse for short time period or continuously in closed space of container and discharging excess gas component (waste flow of ozone containing gas mixture and gases from decaying corpse) out of container for it subsequent deodorization and decomposition of remained ozone in catalytic deactivator. Apparatus for storing corpse is provided with generator for supplying ozone containing gas mixture through feed branch pipe, stop cock and pass-through valve joined with fluid-tight container. Bottom of lower portion of fluid-tight container is clad with sanitary gasket of absorbing material having on its outer surface coating permeable for body tissue liquid. Method allows to shorten time period for storing corpse at keeping it esthetic appearance. Apparatus allows to lower quantity of tissue liquids and gases separated to atmosphere at decaying corpse.
