FIELD: digital multipliers. SUBSTANCE: device used for multiplying digital signal by signal in the form of periodic, primarily sinusoidal, wave has digital generator whose periodic phase varies obeying sawtooth law and functions to approximate Ksinϕ function samples by algebraic sums of values of positive integer exponent of number 2 for each value of phase; K is factor constant for all phase values. Product of digital signal by algebraic sum can be obtained within short time, rather easily, and without invocation of sinus tables. Decoder whereto phase F, is applied functions to determine exponent of number 2 being set and separation circuit is used to multiply exponents of number 2 under control of decoder. One or two adders make it possible to obtain sum of exponents of number 2. The result is approximate product obtained by multiplying digital signal by K by sinF. Circuit diagram of signal receiver using this multiplying device for determining location by means of satellite is also given in description of invention. EFFECT: simplified design of device. 14 cl, 5 dwg, 3 tbl
