FIELD: non-ferrous metal alloys. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to aluminum alloys that can be used in developing structural materials suitable for pieces used in aviation-and-space engineering including those operated at cryogenic temperatures. Alloy of invention can also be used as additive in manufacture of welded structures of above-mentioned pieces from wrought alloys and castable Al-Cu and Al-Cu-Li alloys as well as for welding of combined castable-and- wrought structures. The alloy and corresponding piece contain following components, wt %: copper 6.0- 8.5, manganese 0.1-0.4, titanium 0.05-0.2, zirconium 0.08-0.25, scandium 0.1- 0.4, at least one element from the group including: boron 0.0005-0.005, beryllium 0.0001-0.001, lanthanum 0.05-0.2, yttrium 0.05-0.15, cerium 0.05-0.15, and aluminum - the balance. EFFECT: improved plasticity and crack resistance both of alloy itself and welded joints made by using the alloy as adding material, which imparts reliability and longevity. 2 cl, 2 tbl
