FIELD: high-temperature electrochemical fuel cells and power systems using electrochemical converters. SUBSTANCE: electrochemical converter is mounted in high-pressure tank wherein converter- produced hot exhaust gases are accumulated; these gases are then conveyed to power installations such as gas turbines for heat and power cogeneration. The converter energy using equipment may include a gas turbine or a heating, ventilating, or air-conditioning system. High-pressure tank may have heat exchanger such as cooling jacket for cooling high-pressure tank and/or heating chemical agent prior to feeding it to electrochemical converter. As an alternative, compressor incorporated in gas-turbine assembly may be used to pump chemical agent through heat exchanger of high-pressure tank and to supply it under pressure to fuel cell placed inside. Exhaust gases kept under pressure and heated within fuel cell are collected in high-pressure tank and conveyed to turbine expander. Fuel cell and high-pressure tank perform the function of combustion chamber for gas-turbine assembly. Expander may be used for mechanical work or it may be integrated with generator to produce electrical energy in addition to that generated by fuel cell. In this way heat generated in electrochemical converter is used by power system. Description of inlet/outlet device used for conveying fluid medium such as exhaust gases or inlet chemical agent to high-pressure tank from outside is also given in invention. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency and simplified design of power system. 48 cl, 8 dwg
