FIELD: plate-type columns. SUBSTANCE: drain pit 1 for a plate-type column is central-symmetric relative to the axis directed towards the column, it has: (a) a drain hole located inside overflow device 2 and having deflecting members 3 for the fed gas-liquid mixture for production of circulation flow; (b) through part 5 running downwards; and (c) cup 6 on the lower end of the through part provided for a positive head of the runoff liquid. The cup has several holes 7, which are made and arranged so as a uniform distribution of the runoff liquid is produced.
