FIELD: medical and veterinary microbiology, mycology, laboratory diagnostics. SUBSTANCE: the method deals with inoculation and release of dermatophytes out of clinical material upon selective medium by addition of liquid medicinal bile, yeast autolysate and antibiotics out of fluoquinolones' group, for example, ciprofloxacin at the following ratio of components, g/l: glucose 40.0, peptone 10.0, agar 18.0-20.0, distilled water up to 1 l, liquid medicinal bile 1.0, concentrated yeast autolysate 5.0, ciprofloxacin 5.0. Inoculation is incubated at 37 C for 5-7 d and for 15 d at 28-30 C. Then the type of colonies is identified.
