FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines. SUBSTANCE: according to invention double-acting pistons are used in rotary-piston engine with rotating cylinder block. Pistons form above-piston working space and under-piston space in which thermochemical treatment of fuel is carried out using heat of exhaust gases in contact with fuel. Additional compression is used during which intensive evaporation and homogenization of mixture is carried out. As a result, gaseous fuel converted from liquid is delivered by moving piston into above-pistons space where it mixes with fuel-air mixture present in space. It provides good combustion of fuel-air mixture at high compression ratios, increased efficiency and reduced toxicity of exhaust gases. EFFECT: increased efficiency of working process without complication of engine design.
