FIELD: data processing devices. SUBSTANCE: system has arithmetic-and-logic unit that incorporates N-bit information channel and functions to support program command words for concurrent operation. Independent arithmetic operations are executed by arithmetic-and-logic unit concurrently with (N/2)-bit words of input operands. Provision is made for two sets of condition-code flags, N, Z, C, V, SN, SZ, SC, and SV, responding to separate arithmetic operations. So, separate condition-code flags are provided for each of concurrent operations. Method describing operation of this system is given in description of invention.
