FIELD: adhesives. SUBSTANCE: synthetic glue useful in food industry and other areas for attaching labels glass, metallic, plastic and other types of packaging as well as for pasting together paper and cardboard contains 20 to 80 wt % of, saponified with aqueous potassium or sodium alkali solution, polyacrylonitrile modified by aqueous formaldehyde solution and/or by a halogenorganic multifunctional compound at molar ratio polyacrylonitrile/alkali/multifunctional compound/formaldehyde 1:(0.3-1.2):(0-0.8):(0-21), 20-80 wt % water, and optionally 0-30 wt % filler. Glue is prepared by consecutive saponification of polyacrylonitrile with aqueous potassium or sodium alkali solution and its modification or with aqueous formaldehyde solution and/or halogenorganic multifunctional compound at 70-150 C and pressure 1 to 10 atm and at above-indicated molar ratio of ingredients, addition of filler (if necessary) and, finely, distilling away or adding water. Working temperature range of glue is between -10 C and +95 C and its storage and transportation temperature range between -50 C and +60 C. After settling, glue entirely conserves its properties. EFFECT: improved adhesive capability within wider temperature range. 2 cl, 1 tbl, 3 ex
