FIELD: paper-and-pulp industry. SUBSTANCE: wood chips are cooked in cooking liquor containing acetic acid and hydrogen peroxide at molar ratio 0.5:1 plus titanium dioxide catalyst in quantity 0.5 to 1% based on the weight of absolutely dry wood. Process is carried out for 2-3 h at water duty 15-1 and temperature 120-130 C. Invention can be used for fabrication of cellulose, paper, and cardboard having various destinations. EFFECT: improved quality of cellulose half-finished product, sulfuric acid catalyst replaced with environmentally safe titanium dioxide catalyst, increased selectivity of process, and reduced cooking time. 4 tbl, 33 ex
