FIELD: machine engineering, possibly centrifugal compressor machines. SUBSTANCE: vane-free diffuser of centrifugal supercharger includes impeller, diffuser and lateral builtup chamber. Diffuser (along flow direction) includes next parts: rotary diffuser; flared diffuser with opening angle 3-6 degrees; diffuser with parallel walls; and radial-axial diffuser. Percentage axial extension of rotary diffuser consists up to D3/D2=1,1-1,15, of flared diffuser - up to D4/D2=1,4-1,45; of diffuser with parallel walls - up to D5/D2=1,65-1,7 and of radial-axial diffuser - up to D6/D2=1,85-1,9, where D3 - outer diameter of rotary diffuser, D2 - outer diameter of impeller along ends of vanes, D4 - outer diameter of flared diffuser, D5 - outer diameter of diffuser with parallel walls, D6 -outer diameter of radial-axial diffuser. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of supercharger in range of optimal and increased flow-rates, gently sloping pressure characteristics. 1 dwg
