FIELD: chemical technology. SUBSTANCE: invention describes method of acylation of hexakis(phenylmethyl)hexaazaisowurzitane of the formula (I): WB6 where B means phenylmethyl and W means residue of hexavalent hexaazaisowurzitane presented by the formula (2): by reductive dephenylmethylation including contact of hexakis(phenylmethyl)hexaazaisowurzitane with a heterogeneous catalyst of reduction in the presence of acylating agent and reducing agent in solvent for the indicated hexakis(phenylmethyl)hexaazaisowurzitane characterizing that the contact of WB6 with heterogeneous reductive catalyst is possible only the presence of both reagents: acylating agent and reducing agent to yield a mixture containing at least one derivative of tetraacylhexaazaisowurzitane of the formula (3): WA4BnH(2-n), where W and B are determined above; H means hydrogen atom; A means C1-C10-acyl group; n = 0-2.
