DRUM DRIER WITH CENTRAL REMOVAL OF PRODUCT AND HEAT- TRANSFER AGENT Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: equipment used in food, chemical and other branches of industry to treat loose materials in rotary drum. SUBSTANCE: proposed drum drier with central removal of product and heat-transfer agent includes rotating drum with conduits, central tube placed along its axis, supply and discharge branch pipes for heat-transfer agent. Salient feature of invention lies in that hollow central tube is perforated and has sections for loading with moist product, for removal of used heat- transfer agent and unloading of dried product together with heat-transfer agent. Size of perforations coming in the form of windows, loading and unloading sections is larger and size of perforations in section for removal of used heat-transfer agent is smaller that characteristic size of particles of product used for drying. Loading section in internal space of central tube is separated from next section by solid partition. Invention makes it possible to obtain higher degree of filling of internal space of drum with product which can achieve 60% and over with velocity of heat-transfer agent being equal in all conduits since thickness of layer through which heat-transfer agent passes is same.
