SUBSTANCE: method involves transmitting video signal from video camera to computer, signal indicating moment football player strikes football toward goal of competing team, signal indicating location of coordinates maximum proximate to goal line, except for goal keeper, player of defending team on display device screen, to which is displayed video signal still frame, which indicates moment of striking football by player toward goal of defending team. Image of one line extending in parallel with goal line is superimposed on still frame displayed on screen by means of computer, with this line extending through site on screen maximum proximate to goal line, except for goal keeper, player of defending team. Method and apparatus allow determination of outside position during playing and after playing to be improved and may be used for scanning of other complicated match episodes.
