PROCESS OF SEPARATION OF POOLS IN WELL AND GEAR FOR ITS REALIZATION Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: oil production, isolation of absorbing strata. SUBSTANCE: in correspondence with proposed process gear with grouting mortar is sunk on rope in well to calculated depth. Case is lifted till radial conduits are open and gear is free from grouting mortar. Cylinder is put on case from beneath and radial conduits in case are shut off. After release of grouting mortar from gear its case is disconnected from lowered rope and sunk to initial position. Grouting mortar is forced into hole clearance and is left there for solidification. Gear has case with radial conduits plugged from beneath, locating arm and release mechanism. Case is fitted with cylinder with non- hermetic plug telescopically put on it from beneath that shuts off radial conduits. Cylinder has ring protrusion in lower part of outer surface. Inner surface of cylinder has cylindrical recess to accommodate mentioned ring protrusion. Release mechanism comes in the form of branch pipe with cover which has radial holes matched with recesses in case of gear where balls are placed. Branch pipe houses bushing with cylindrical-spherical recess with arc-shaped holder facing branch pipe. It passes through holes in cover of branch pipe and is attached with its upper part to rod by means of shear member. It is made fast to rope. Release mechanism is activated by interaction with weight dropped from surface along rope. EFFECT: ensured separation of pools one from another, expanded functional capabilities of gear. 3 cl, 3 dwg
