TIGHTNESS CHECKING METHOD Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: testing and measuring facilities. SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for checking tightness of different articles, including sealed ones. Proposed method of tightness checking comes to the following: pressure differential is built on articles walls by moving piston in cylinder, and tightness is judged by movement of piston. Piston is force-shifted under load from first position into second position, then is relieved from load and value of its back travel at definite time is measured. Tightness is judged by comparing value, thus obtained, with reference value of piston back travel obtained under the same conditions with use of identical article known as being hermetically sealed. Piston is fixed in second position for additional preset time. EFFECT: provision of true results of checking. 2 cl, 1 dwg
