METHOD OF REMOVING THERMALLY ACTIVE PRECIPITATES FROM THE SURFACE OF INTERNAL ELEMENTS OF APPARATUSES Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: maintenance. SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for chemical, oil, and gas industries to remove solid combustible deposits formed in apparatuses when cleaning gas mixtures from impurities. Method consists in providing hydraulic protection in supply and discharge pipelines of the apparatus manifold, feeding a heat-transferring agent inside an apparatus, and heating it to 600-700 C. Working space of apparatus is thereby heated at continuous temperature control during a time determined by formula: t = T(dec)/V(al. heat) wherein T(dec) is deposit decomposition temperature, ^°C, and V(al.heat) is allowable velocity of apparatus heating, ^°C/h. Feeding of heat- transferring agent is then stopped and deposit decomposition is continued while temperature inside apparatus is maintained within specified limits. The process termination is jugged of from the exhaustion of apparatus discharge in decomposition products and lowering of the discharge temperature.
