SURFACE WATER DRAIN SYSTEM FOR MOTOR ROADS AND MOTOR ROAD STRUCTURES Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: road building. SUBSTANCE: proposed system has drain ditches located along motor roads and communicating with water channels in places of critical washing out velocity of water. Motor road structures are also furnished with such channels. Novelty is that system is provided with water collecting arrangements in ditch bottoms before water channels in direction of water flow and in bottom of water channels of motor road structures. Water collecting arrangements are made in form of pits located at a distance of 0.5-0.7 m from each other in inner chambers of which vertical skeletons made of geoscreen are installed, skeletons being filled with filtering grainy material with geotextile horizontal linings in upper layer. EFFECT: protection of environment by collecting and removing road dust and mud with harmful chemical inclusions and preventing their getting into water reservoirs and near lands. 4 dwg
