FIELD: percussive machines. SUBSTANCE: to form catenoid hammers presenting bodies of revolution made of hard materials whose generator is catena in the form of various sections of catena, and end faces of hammers are worked by planes square to their found geometric axis. In this case, distance between end faces is selected depending on preset weight of hammer. Invention makes it possible to produce various types of catenoid hammers which generate in wave guides different in shape elastic percussive pulses each being optimal for breakage of definite in hardness rocks.
