FIELD: cryogenic and vacuum engineering; construction of freezing-out traps used in vacuum technologies. SUBSTANCE: cylindrical housing is provided with reservoir filled with cryogenic fluid and arranged in housing coaxially. Outer surface of reservoir is provided helical fins. Cylindrical shield is mounted at spaced relation relative to wall of housing. Outer surface of housing holds heat exchanger made in form of jacket provided with helical passages and communicated with vapor space of reservoir through helical passage of cover. Outer surface of cylindrical shield has helical fins. Trap is provided with pipe line for connecting the pump, pipe line for connection with space to be evacuated, pipe line for filling reservoir with cryogenic fluid and oil draining pipe line. EFFECT: minimum heat gain, low vaporability of cryogenic fluid; increased service life. 1 dwg
