FIELD: testing and measuring technology; diagnosis of viscoelastic materials. SUBSTANCE: proposed method consists in two-stage excitation of resonance oscillations of system by compelling harmonic force; during repeated excitation, responsiveness of oscillatory system is changed; amplitude of compelling harmonic action is changed in such way that amplitude of steady induced oscillations should be constant. Every time during excitation, amplitudes of compelling action P1 and P2, resonance frequency ωp1 and ωp2, and oscillation amplitude A are recorded; coefficients of internal hysteresis friction η and linear viscous friction "b" are calculated respectively by the following formulae: and , where "k" is reduced stiffness coefficient of oscillatory system.
