FIELD: study of mechanical properties of materials and members of structures under variable loads. SUBSTANCE: degree of drop of amplitude with detuning of resonance and coefficient of resonance detuning are used for determination of logarithmic decrement δ′ of oscillations as parameters of resonance peak. Decrement δ is calculated by formula 6 where λ is degree of drop of amplitude of oscillations equal to ratio of amplitude of oscillations after resonance detuning to amplitude of resonance oscillations; z is coefficient of resonance detuning equal to relation of nonresonance frequency at which amplitude of oscillations is registered to resonance frequency.
