FIELD: development of systems automatically controlling cutting, analysis of dynamic phenomena emerging with cutting. SUBSTANCE: vibrations of system are excited by harmonic action in range of its own frequencies. Kinematic parameter of vibrations is measured. Amplitude/phase frequency characteristic of parameter is recorded. Relative movement between two points of elastic object in cutting zone is taken as mentioned parameter. Action is implemented with force having amplitude proportional to frequency squared with fixed amplitude of vibrations of mobile part of vibrator. Characteristic frequencies corresponding to minimal actual and maximal imaginary components of fixed amplitude/phase frequency characteristic are recorded. Time constants and amplifying coefficients for transfer function are found by formulas presented in description of invention. EFFECT: abolished control over disturbing force of vibrator which leads to reduced number of components of measurement circuit. 2 dwg
