FIELD: petroleum geology. SUBSTANCE: method used for optimizing location of exploratory and producing wells on site analyzed using results of ground seismic exploration, electric, radioactive, and acoustic logging, core analysis, and well testing involves seismic prospecting, well boring including core sampling, electric, radioactive, and acoustic logging, and well testing. Profile is standardized according to boring data and standard model spectrum-time specimens are determined. Standard spectrum and time patterns of oil-yielding and other types of geological profile are determined from data obtained in seismic prospecting in vicinity of wells using spectrum and time analyses of seismic prospecting data in target recording interval and quantitative estimates of its results found from product of frequency and time specified spectral densities of energy spectrums by frequency and time of their maxima. Spectrum and time are continuously analyzed for all seismic profiles and quantitative parameterization of this analysis is made with respect to frequency and time. Results obtained are compared with standard and quantity of oil- and-gas yielding types of profiles is determined at all points of well-to- well space. EFFECT: enhanced reliability and precision of sound estimates of geological conditions for locating exploratory and producing wells.
